AquaVenture Malta makes every effort to make sure the contents are accurate and up-to-date, but AquaVenture Malta does not offer any warranties (expressed or implied) as to the reliability, accuracy or completeness of the information appearing on the Website.
Unless otherwise stated, AquaVenture Malta and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights in the website and material on the website. Subject to the license below, all these intellectual property rights are reserved. You may view, download for caching purposes only, and print pages from the website for your own personal use, subject to the restrictions set out below and elsewhere in these terms and conditions.
You must not:
• Republish material from this website (including republication on another website);
• Sell, rent or sub-license material from the website;
• Show any material from the website in public;
• Reproduce, duplicate, copy or otherwise exploit material on this website for a commercial purpose;
• Edit or otherwise modify any material on the website; or
• Redistribute material from this website [except for content specifically and expressly made available for redistribution.
Daily Diving Schedule
A day’s diving consists of 2 dives a day in the morning (available Monday to Saturday). Dives on Sunday’s in the morning are available on special request.
We generally meet at the Dive Centre at 08.00 unless otherwise specified. We return after 2 dives at approx. 12.30 depending on the sites we choose for the day. We do not return to the Dive Centre in between dives.
Dive trips to Gozo are available Monday to Thursday, we depart the shop at 7.45am and return after 2 dives around 3.00pm. Minimum requirements apply for Gozo dive trips, contact us for more information.
Non divers are only permitted if there is space and may incur a charge.
Pre-Conditions for Diving
Qualified divers need to present proof of their diving certification.
All divers will need to sign a Risk and Liability Statement and a self assessment medical statement, unless you have a medical signed by a doctor. You can view the medical statement here.
If the diver answers “YES” to any of the medical conditions on the form, a medical certificate signed by a doctor is required. The medical certificate can be obtained at a doctors clinic.
Divers under the age of 18 need to provide written parental/guardian consent allowing them to dive.
Guided Diving
The maximum depth for each client is determined on certification level, experience and the date of the last dive.
All dives are conducted as Recreational No Decompression Dives with a maximum run time of 60 minutes.
Dives in your dive packages are based on 2 dives per day but do not have to be made on consecutive days. Dive packages are for an individual and cannot be shared or combined with special offers.
You may be required to complete a check dive and/or Refresher depending on your level and experience.
A deposit is required to confirm your booking, deposits will not be refunded for cancellations within 7 days, if possible we will transfer your booking to another day. Refunds are made less a 5% administration fee directly to the bank card that was used for the initial payment and always within 7 days.
The balance for your booked package is payable on the first day of diving.
No refunds are given for dives booked and not completed. A 48 hour cancellation notice is required should you wish to change the dates of your diving, allowing us enough time to offer your space to other potential customers.
Seasickness, inability to equalize and personal health conditions are not premises for a refund.
AquaVenture Malta reserves the right to remove diving privileges from any diver who exceeds depth limits and/or follows unsafe diving practices.
Try Dives & Discover Scuba Diving
A deposit is required to confirm your booking, deposits will not be refunded for cancellations within 7 days, if possible we will transfer your booking to another day. Refunds are made less a 5% administration fee directly to the bank card that was used for the initial payment and always within 7 days.
The balance for your booked Try Dive or Discover Scuba Diving is payable before the start of the experience.
We will never force you underwater, we will help you gather confidence to complete the scuba diving experience, however if you decided for any reason to not complete the experience no refund will be given.
Diving Courses
A deposit is required to confirm your booking, course deposits cover the cost of Online Learning kits and are non refundable.
The balance for your booked course is payable on the first day of diving.
Final certification fees are included when purchasing the theory online code.
Once Online Learning codes have been activated these cannot be deleted or refunded.
Diving Agency Standards require that appropriate materials are purchased for use on each course, these are included in our course prices.
AquaVenture Malta have the right to withhold final certification, should the Instructor feel that the student has not reached the required level needed for that level of certification as defined by the training organisation. Should you require additional training to complete the diving course an extra session fee will apply.

Should you decided for any reason to not complete the diving course no refund will be given.
Transport
Divers using our transport to and from the dive sites do so at their own risk.
All divers and passengers making use of AquaVenture Malta transport need to be decently dressed and are asked to wear dry clothes. As a courtesy to other customers using the transport, passengers with wet clothing will not be allowed on to the transport. Wrap around towels are not adequate.
Our vans are not equipped to carry infants. Persons wishing to have non diving family members join the excursion, need to organise their own means of transport.
Insurance
AquaVenture Malta has a comprehensive insurance policy that covers all our divers for third party liability. However divers are responsible for taking out adequate personal insurance cover for their diving activities and equipment. We recommend all customers obtain sufficient holiday Insurance to cover cancellation fees.
We offer free personal diving insurance cover for persons taking part in the Discover Scuba Diving experience or the Scuba Diver course and Open Water Diver course.
Personal items or equipment left in the Dive Centre during the day or over night are not covered by AquaVenture Malta Insurance. Items left on AquaVenture Malta premises are left at customers own risk.
Personal items or equipment left in the vehicles during diving are not covered by AquaVenture Malta Insurance and are left at customers own risk.
Force Majeure
Actions of Independent contractors such as Airlines and Tour Operators are not the responsibility of AquaVenture Malta.
We reserve the right to shorten a trip, change itineraries or substitute a vessel for weather or mechanical reasons.
Securing your booking
A deposit is required to secure a booking for Guided Diving & to secure a booking for all Diving Courses. No booking is secured without this payment. Email confirmation without proof of deposit payment is not sufficient.
Deposits made on diving courses cover the cost of Online Learning kits and are non refundable.
Payments can be made on-line by Credit Card through our secure payment link or by direct bank transfer to our bank account or by Revolut payment, please contact us for more details.
We accept Visa & Mastercard Debit/Credit cards and no card fees are added by AquaVenture Malta.
Cancellation Policy
We recommend all customers obtain sufficient holiday Insurance to cover cancellation fees.
Please ensure you are covered in case you need to abort a dive package or course for whatever reason, as full payment will still be required. We will not provide any refund for packages or courses booked but not completed.
Cancellations more than 7 days before the booking will have the deposit refunded less a 5% administration fee and paid directly to the bank card that was used for the initial payment and always within 7 days. Deposits will not be refunded for cancellations within 7 days, if possible we will transfer your booking to another day.

Should you decided for any reason to not complete a diving course no refund will be given.
Items to bring with you to the Dive Centre:
Certification card
Doctors certificate when needed
Log Book / Referral or eLearning paperwork
Swimsuit, towel, change of dry clothes, sunscreen
Money for Lunch, drinks, sundries
Rental Equipment
Though every effort is made to ensure our equipment is in proper working order and fit for purpose it is the responsibility of each diver to check their equipment prior to its use.
All our equipment is sanitized after every use.
Customers are fully responsible for any AquaVenture Malta equipment they use and will be charged full replacement cost for any dive center equipment lost or damaged. Please ensure equipment is taken care of.
Replacement costs are as follows:
Weights = maximum €5 per kg
Weight Pocket = €15 each
Weight Belt = €10
BCD = maximum €250
Regulator = maximum €300
Mask €25
Fins €50
Wetsuit €200
Computer €200
Other POA
There is a €25 service charge for any regulator rinsed without the dust cap.
General
The use of drugs or alcohol before diving is strictly prohibited and anyone who arrives for a course or guided dives under the influence or incapacitated will not be allowed to dive.
Fish Feeding is strictly prohibited, collecting shells, corals, or any living or dead organisms from the sea is also strictly prohibited. Please do not collect or touch anything (other than rubbish) and respect the sea and the environment.
The use of any form of artificial lighting is also strictly prohibited when photographing seahorses.
Maltese Laws relating to public decency are very strict and as such we ask divers to respect the local population and traditions by dressing appropriately at all times and cover themselves when changing in public.
