This dive site is located on the most northerly point of Malta, just a short boat ride away from AquaVenture.
The dive starts at around 8m as we enter the tunnel to the inland sea. The tunnel has a slight bend in it so you are unable to see straight through. The floor is covered in small rocks where you can usually find Octopus hiding. After exploring around the shallow waters of the inland sea area we surface to view the surrounding cliff face and the archway back to the open sea.
We then head back through the tunnel and turn south along the reef at a maximum depth of around 18m until we reach our turnaround point where we shallow up to around 10m and head back towards the boat. The reef is covered in large and small boulders, with grass and sand patches. Along this reef you can usually find Moray Eels, Octopus, Lobster and a variety of smaller fish.
It is possible to do this dive from shore, but due to the 90 minute plus runtime you need to an experienced diver with good air consumption. This long shore dive can be arranged as a special dive upon request, just contact us for more details.
